Beautiful skies

This was the sky from my patio. If you want to view other pictures from other people, go to this site:

A big, yellow moon from my patio.

One beautiful sunrise. Of course, this doesn't do the real thing justice.

Click to enlarge. I remember the first time this scared me for a moment, thinking it was a good-sized lizard. After staring really hard (from a distance) I saw it was just part of the tree trunk. Isn't this rather interesting?

If you click on the picture it will enlarge. This was a little fox that came around our apt. complex for a few days. No one knew where it came from and even when I called the Wildlife people, they never showed up due to one person working. Wherever this little fox is now I hope he or she is ok.

Some of the flowers around the complex.

Petey, my sister's cat she got at the local shelter.

Some of the many cats I have known and loved

There was a time when every time I turned around another cat was at my door. We used to joke that the cats were telling each other which apt. to go to for food and love. It was sad to see so many animals either abandoned by their guardians or, were just feral cats. These are just a few of my friends. One of my neighbors was the guardian of Greta, the only cat pictured with collar and tag. Many of these cats were caught by animal control; some died. For a long time now, we don't hardly see any stray cats at all. I sure miss these old friends of mine. Clicking on any of the pictures will make them enlarge.

Malcolm, our male. He was the runt of the bunch and turned out to be the biggest one of all! He was really gentle and made us laugh. If he didn't think I was paying enough attention to him he would jump on the coffee table and plop right in front of me, blocking my view of the television. He was calm and sweet; crawling next to me, putting his head on my pillow, I would cover him and we would fall asleep together. He was the last one that needed to be put to sleep; just last year. He really missed Spooky and Timber and started going downhill soon after. We miss them all so very, very much.

This was Timber, the daughter. She was funny and could be quite wild in her attitude. She wouldn't sit on my lap until a couple days after her mother had to be put to sleep. She came over, sat down next to me, put her paws on my lap and stayed with me through my grief over losing Spooky. After that, she would crawl under the covers with her head peeking out and sleep with me. She liked picking on her big brother and could sure make us laugh.

These are the first photographs I wanted to start with. We had three wonderful cats who are now deceased. They enriched our lives so much and are missed terribly. This was Spooky, the mother cat. She was abandoned and we took her in and loved her. She had quite a personality. She would come up alongside the couch and either stand up and tap her little paw on my elbow or come around the front and tap my knee for attention. We didn't know what her life had been before she found her way to us but she could become quite fearful at times. She truly was a sweetheart and we miss her a lot.
