This area is dry during summer but winter time brings rain and therefore, the ducks arrive.

A seasonal stream in northern CA? Go figure. I guess I thought of it as having a climate more like the Pacific Northwest where there really is no "dry season". Love the ducks though. Apparently mallards live everywhere in the world.

Thanks for stopping by. Yes, this little area fills to the top with water during the wintery rainy season. Dry as can be during summer months and can be a fire hazard when management doesn't bother to clean the high-growing brush until late summer. These ducks have been coming around for many years and some neighbors have even viewed the baby ducks.
